Your first visit
What happens on the first visit?
- Booking
Book by phone or Naver Booking. If you tell us where it hurts or that you would like sedation, we can prepare in advance.
- Check-in and medical history
We check your medications, medical conditions, past dental treatment and experience with anesthesia.
- Examination
Depending on your symptoms, we do the tests you need: oral examination, panoramic X-ray or CT, Q-ray fluorescence and intraoral scanning.
- Explanation and consultation
We look at the results together and explain your current condition, the possible treatments, and the pros and cons of each.
- Treatment plan and cost
We explain the order and length of treatment and the expected cost, separating insured and non-insured items. You can take time to decide.
- Start of treatment
Urgent pain is treated on the same day. Other treatment is scheduled according to the plan.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Please bring your alien registration card or passport, the names of any medications you take, and any X-rays or reports from another dental clinic. If you would like sedation, please tell us when you book.
Can I be treated on the first day?
Urgent problems such as severe pain or swelling are treated on the same day. Other treatment is scheduled after examination and explanation.
When will I know the cost?
Before treatment starts, we explain the expected cost, separating insured and non-insured items. Non-insured fees are also published on our fees page.
Can I talk about sedation on my first visit?
Yes. On your first visit we check your health and medications and discuss whether conscious sedation is suitable for you. Sedation is booked separately after the consultation.
What language is used during consultation?
Consultations are mainly in Korean. Dr. Moon Heesam can communicate in English at an intermediate level. For a more detailed explanation, please come with someone who speaks Korean or use a translation app.
