Main treatments
Implants
How are implants done at Daol?
We first check the bone with CT and plan the implant position. We use Osstem, Dentis and IBS implants, and add bone grafting or a sinus lift only when there is not enough bone. Since opening in 2015, we have placed over 5,000 implants.
- Osstem ₩990,000 · Dentis ₩880,000 · IBS ₩1,200,000 per implant (abutment and crown included)
- Surgical guide (navigation) available
- Screw-retained implant crowns (Hiness)
Multiple & full-arch implants
What if I have lost many or all of my teeth?
We consider multiple implants or full-arch treatment (All-on-X). If the bone is sufficient, temporary teeth can be attached right after surgery so you can chew again; if the bone is weak, a temporary denture may be used while it heals.
- All-on-X ₩8,000,000 (4–6 implants included)
Conscious sedation
Can I be treated under sedation if I am afraid of the dentist?
Yes. With conscious sedation (IV sedation) you can have implants, wisdom tooth extraction or root canal treatment in a relaxed, sleep-like state. Oxygen saturation, pulse and blood pressure are monitored throughout, and you rest in a recovery room afterwards.
- Do not eat for 4 hours before (water is allowed)
- Come with a companion
- Do not drive on the day of sedation
- We check your health and medications first
Cracked teeth
My tooth is cracked. Does it have to be pulled?
Not right away. We check the crack with Q-ray and other tests. If the crack stays in the crown of the tooth, the tooth can often be kept by covering it with a crown. If the crack reaches deep into the root, keeping the tooth may be difficult.
- Q-ray fluorescence shows cracks that are hard to see on X-rays
Root canal & MTA
Do I need a root canal?
When the nerve inside a tooth is inflamed or infected, root canal treatment cleans the inside of the tooth so that it can be kept. Root canal treatment is covered by Korean National Health Insurance. In some cases, MTA vital pulp therapy can keep the nerve alive.
- MTA vital pulp therapy ₩100,000
Crowns & inlays
Which crowns and inlays do you use?
Zirconia is our standard crown material for its strength and appearance. For front teeth, PFZ or all-ceramic crowns may be used to improve appearance, and gold is considered when the bite height is very low. Same-day inlays are made with our in-house 3D printer.
- Zirconia crown ₩450,000 (back tooth) · ₩500,000 (front tooth)
- Hybrid inlay ₩280,000 · Same-day inlay ₩300,000
- Digital impressions with an intraoral scanner
Jaw joint (TMJ) & teeth grinding
My jaw hurts or clicks. What can I do?
We examine the jaw joint and muscles and treat with habit control, physical therapy and an oral appliance (splint). Grinding and clenching also wear down the teeth and affect the bite, so reducing these habits is important.
- Anti-grinding splint ₩650,000 (thick, hard resin with extra hooks for retention)
- Night guard ₩300,000 (thin resin)
Wisdom teeth
Do I have to remove my wisdom teeth?
If a wisdom tooth can be cleaned well and causes no problems, it can be monitored. If it causes repeated inflammation or damages the tooth in front, we recommend removal. We check the distance to the nerve with CT first, and sedation is available if you are nervous.
- Stitches are removed 1–2 weeks after extraction
Whitening & front teeth
How can I whiten or improve my front teeth?
We offer in-office whitening, home whitening with custom trays, and laminates (e.max). We first check the cause of discoloration and the condition of your teeth.
- In-office whitening ₩150,000 per session (VAT not included)
- Home whitening kit ₩400,000 (custom trays included)
- Laminate ₩600,000 per tooth (VAT not included)
